Rey Insurance Agency is located in Sleepy Hollow, New York. However, our office is far from sleepy. We are dedicated to providing financial security to families and businesses. We want our clients to know that insurance will help keep their family, home and/or business afloat when an accident happens or difficult times ensue.

We are seeking an ambitious, driven Personal Lines Account Manager. We want someone who is dedicated to expanding their knowledge base and developing an expertise in a very complicated industry. We can teach and train about insurance fundamentals, technical efficiency and operations basics, but we cannot teach someone to take initiative to think outside the box for problem-solving strategies. Since most people do not enjoy buying or paying for personal insurance, the goal of the PLAM is to make each encounter of buying and servicing insurance an experience for the client as well as retain and grow the personal lines book of business.

We are automated so you can be proactive in building relationships with our client base. This allows you to spend more time earning referrals, finding and providing additional lines of coverage and conducting an in-depth review at renewal. In addition to reviewing accounts at renewal, this position handles all service tasks (billing questions, ID cards, endorsements, etc.). Account managers also are involved with new business quoting. Incentive programs will assist in leveraging the opportunities we have for you to grow as we grow.

This position will be responsible for servicing personal lines accounts and providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to the insured, insurance companies and managers. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • * Ensure an account retention rate of 90%;
  • * Expand existing accounts by cross-selling related services and account rounding;
  • * Work closely with Sales Manager to place new business;
  • * Receive documents and process all requests for service in a timely and accurate manner;
  • * Provide rating, coverage and policy status information;
  • * Prepare renewal applications and remarket assigned accounts.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude, aptitude for sales and a willingness to learn. Minimum of 2 years in insurance sales or service, excellent customer service skills and solid communication skills. Must be computer literate.

This is a full-time position:  Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
