Motorcycle insurance provides financial protection in the event of a motorcycle accident, loss, theft or damage. This includes liability coverage in case you are responsible for another person’s injuries or property damage.
You should know that a motorcycle insurance policy does not automatically offer personal injury protection like car insurances does. The only coverage for injuries to the driver is through optional additional coverage for medical payments. (Your personal health insurance will cover you in the event you are injured while operating a motorcycle if you did not have medical payment coverage on your policy, but you’ll be responsible for any copays or deductibles.)
Off-road vehicles, including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs, often called 4-wheelers or quads), dirt bikes, and snowmobiles, also require insurance when operated off of private property in New York State.
There are a lot of fun and beautiful places to explore in Westchester County and throughout New York State. Whether it’s a little joy ride or an epic adventure, call Rey Insurance to make sure you’re really ready to hit the road.
